My journey with KalaKaushal began in one of the toughest times of my life. I was battling cancer and losing weight, which made it difficult to wear my old clothes. Just when I thought of buying new ones, the world faced the COVID-19 pandemic, and stepping out was no longer possible.

To adjust, I bought a sewing machine and started altering my clothes at home. Slowly, I began experimenting and stitched masks for my family and the people in my society. This small act of care became the first stitch of my new journey.

During the pandemic, I also lost my mother – my biggest support. Sewing then became more than just a skill; it became my therapy, my healing, and my strength.

Day by day, I started learning new things – tablecloths, pillow covers, pouches, sling bags, tote bags, spectacle cases, and many more creations. With each stitch, I not only made something beautiful but also rebuilt myself.
